First We Make The Beast Beautiful

by Sarah Wilson

Best book on anxiety I have read. Full of advice and she keeps it very real. Sarah also has several other books and a podcast. She inspires me.

Turtles All The Way Down

by John Green

This is fiction and geared towards young adults but I love it. The author uses his own struggles with anxiety to portray what is a very real look into mental illness for one young girl. It introduced me to the "thought spiral."

Elemy.com

This organization stumbled on my site and reached out. My resource page is the perfect place to highlight this remarkable organization. I was blown away by what they do... combining the power of therapy and AI technology. I was so impressed. This is an incredible resource for families living with Autism.

Elemy uses ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy to improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement. Elemy's approach is personalized —  they observe children right at home, customize each care plan, and give families the tools needed for success. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a type of therapy that can improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement.

Environmental Working Group (EWG)

The EWG's online consumer guides are incredible. They have an app for scanning products when in store and it saves me so much time researching products. I use it so much I felt compelled to donate so they can keep doing this amazing work.

They have developed the first online database to score tens of thousands of personal care products for human health and safety. I do not buy a personal care or home cleaning product without checking it here first. Check out the Skin Deep product and ingredient database for sure!
